Nice Day Out

I decided that I better take Brayden to the park today because we were supposed to be getting bad weather tonight and a "frigid" coldfront tomorrow. I know they were dead on with the bad weather tonight. It has been raining, lightning, and very windy since about 3 this afternoon. We have been under a tornado warning and a wind advisory since about 4:30 as well but no tornado yet! After the park we did some Old Navy shopping and gosh they had some deals! I got a ton of shirts for Brayden for only $1.99, what a bargain! The best part was Jeremy didn't divorce me when he found out how much I bought Brayden! :)

Little Johnny Appleseed...
Beautiful tree with yellow leaves.. I am so impressed with all of these brightly colored fall trees! I love it that they don't just turn brown!
Doesn't he look like a little Buddha baby?

My Son, The Gangster

Brayden came crawling to me and this is what I saw.. I don't know how he managed it, nobody was around him to pull his pants down! I think it is the gangster in him coming out! I made him crawl around so I could try and get a good picture of it, how cruel! :)
Wanksta
noun
Someone who pretends to be a gangster. Contraction for "whack gangster"

Finally!

Brayden has finally found a "sippy cup" that he will use consistently! Although, it isn't a sippy cup at all. Apparently my son doesn't like sippy cups, he likes cups with straws! At restaurants we have been getting him a kids cup of water and he drinks out of the straw like a champ. At home he can't seem to figure out the cup with the straw unless I am holding the cup to his mouth. I don't know why he thought it was different because mommy was holding it to his mouth. Personally, I think he was just being a diva. The other day I took his bottle away and gave him a cup w/ a straw and some water and he finally did it! Anyways, just a proud mama moment.. :)

Dog Park

We took Brayden to the dog park today. I know that sounds funny but we had good reason! Brayden LOVES animals, especially dogs! We happend upon it on our way to the park (for children) and decided to stop. There were a ton of dogs out and we have never seen anything like it! It was this huge fenced in area and as soon as the dogs are in it they can have their leashes taken off! So, a bunch of dogs of all different sizes running around and kissing on Brayden couldn't have made him any happier! He was kicking and wiggling trying to get away from us and get down to the dogs. We would have let him but were afraid of all of the "land mines" as we call them! :) I don't want my kid smelling like poop! Anyways, we had a lot of fun and it was another beautiful day here in Kansas!
Here is a puppy named Callie kissing on Brayden! We made sure that she knew he was already taken by Callie Akin! :)

A lady came over with a seven week old Boston Terrier puppy and said we should get a "cute picture of Brayden holding the puppy." I wasn't up for a one year old holding what I presume is an expensive little dog so I held the dog instead. :)

I bet this poor dog thought he was being eaten! Brayden was very gentle with him except for the one time that he tried to clap for himself while the puppy's head was in the way.. Brady making his daddy take him wherever he wants to go--

Just to show how close to walking he is! Around the house I have noticed that he has been letting go more and standing up on his own for longer periods of time.. so, I know walking is right around the corner!
Brayden hitching a ride from dad..
This is just too pretty not to post. I was playing with my camera software and I forgot I could do stuff like this with it!
Brayden will crawl under the table to get to me if I am on the computer.. When I noticed Brady had been pretty quiet I thought I better check on him.. I figured he was up to something naughty! Well, he apparently was too tired to get out from under the table before falling asleep and he is still under me now! :)

Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Brayden's Halloween Trick-or-Treating...

For Halloween we just went a couple of streets over from where we are staying here in Kansas and went to something like eight houses. When you are just one Halloween is not the all important thing it seems to be when you're a bit older. Brayden enjoyed it at times but wasn't much for the little hoodie on his costume that had his skunk ears. He absolutely H A T E D it. Yeah, I know hate is strong word.. but he hated it. He cried when I was hanging it up this morning! Anyway, we figured out the kid loves Smarties and Dum Dums.. We should have just bought him a bag of candy and skipped him being so grumpy! Hopefully next year we will be with his little cousins in New Braunfels. It should be a better time because he will be able to walk on his own!

Brady and mommy

All of us.. We didn't smoke any pot before we went, I promise! Jeremy just has a hard time keeping his eyes open during the flash....

My cutie pie!

Trying to walk up the steps with the help of his dad..

His mouth is all open because he is eating a Smartie...

I couldn't resist this picture! It reminds me of a little mariachi boy or something.. I guess it is the pants!

Some of you are probably like what the heck is this? This my friends is Brayden enjoying his very FIRST Rootbeer Dum Dum!

Watching this was better than the trick-or-treating itself! We should have just given him one of these and called a night!

After his bath at the end of the long night...
