Is It Just Me?

Is it just me or does this new baby momma of octuplets have a striking resemblance to Angelina Jolie? I just finished watching the Dateline interview with her and they even ask her if she has had work done (her lips do look a little odd) but who knows!

Our Weekend

I know it is a little late but I have had such a long past couple of days. You know what I'm talking about if you have read my Twitter updates. Anyway, we had a great weekend! Brayden and I drove up to the Waco area to see Jeremy. He still had to work both Saturday and Sunday during the day but it was definitely worth getting to see him at night. Brayden was so excited to see his "daeeee". Since Jeremy was working on Saturday I got in touch with one of my friends, Julia, who I have not gotten to see in a LONG time but have kept in touch with through our blogs. It was so exciting to see her! I haven't seen her in about five years or so! Come to find out her house was only about 45 minutes from the hotel we were shacking up in. :) Brayden and I drove to her house on Saturday and went and ate at a great Italian restaurant.. which happened to have the best carrot cake I think I've ever had! After that we went by some shops and then headed back to her house to hang out. Jules, thanks for hanging out with us we had so much fun and hopefully we will see you again soon! On the way home I saw a beautiful sunset and took a ton of pictures of it....I absolutely LOVE it when you can see the rays of sun actually going through the clouds..
I didn't realize he only had a diaper on still when we took this picture. I had just changed him and I didn't put his shorts back on until we left. We got to eat dinner with Jeremy on Friday and Saturday nights and of course stay with him. He had to get up early for work on Sunday so me and Brayden were on the road about 10:25. (If you know me and my kiddo, that's totally early for us. Even Jeremy was surprised!!) It was a nice weekend but I absolutely HATED leaving him. It is so hard although I know that I will be able to see him this weekend!! :)
On our way home we were making great time until we got stuck behind an accident. We ended up stuck on I-35 for 40 minutes! Literally, we did not move at all. It was wall to wall cars for as far as I could see and people were seriously getting OUT of their cars and doing I don't know what?! I decided to take a few pictures of my little boy who was watching Madagascar 2 contently...

A Little Home Improvement

My sweet husband has humored me and already made some improvements to our new palace. :) We found drawer knobs and pulls on clearance at Lowe's for like $0.89 a piece! There are sales to be had people! Never, ever pay full price!! :) We bought all of the cabinet and drawer pulls we needed for the kitchen and enough for our bathroom as well and it was less than $25 bucks!

I just realized this picture was before he actually totally finished the drawers! What a bummer! But still, you get the picture. Excuse the mess, this is when we were first moving in!

AND

The other thing that Jeremy did for me was a big one! :) I found a chandelier that I fell in love with at Lowes and my dad and stepmom bought it for us as a housewarming gift! Well, those things don't just put themselves up.. somebody had to do it! :) My brother-in-law and my hubs put it up for me. It was definitely not easy and the way the went about it (to not have to rent a scaffold) was totally not safe! Either way, they got it up and it looks great!

Well, crap! I just realized that I didn't take an after picture! Goodness, what is wrong with me?! Well, you get it anyways. I went outside tonight to take a picture from the outside of the house and somebody threw a fit because he couldn't go outside with me. Check this out!

Isn't that so cute with his nose all smashed against the window. :) What a sweet little heart he has.. and a great sense of humor!

My little boy did have his first hair cut but it didn't make that much of a difference because we were scared to lose all of his curls. We finally decided it was time for a change.. a big one. He finally looks like such a "grown up" little boy! It is usually all gelled up and spikey on the top but this picture was after a nap and a long afternoon of running around and playing..

Random Update

So, once again it has been a long time since I have posted. This time I have a better excuse.. Jeremy has been working out of town (Waco) and Brayden and I have been sick! It's been ugly around here! I hardly ever got sick before and now everytime Brady is sick it seems I get it too. Must be a mommy thing!

I need to take pictures but I have a dead camera battery and have been too lazy to find the charger to charge up that battery! I will soon because Brayden got a big boy haircut.. FINALLY! It looks too cute!

Anyway, here is the picture of our house that I promised about a um, MONTH ago!!

Things will still be hectic around here for a while since Jeremy is gone. That always makes me a little crazy anyway! Plus, one of my favorite holidays is coming up.. Valentine's Day!! I love, LOVE! Then on the 24th my birthday!! Exciting stuff, I know!! :) Hopefully, I will get on the ball and keep up with my blog!!

It's Been A Long Time....

:) It's been over a month since I last posted on here! Life has been crazy lately and things are just starting to slow down! We left Kansas in the beginning of December and headed back to New Braunfels. When we got back we decided to look into buying a house. We were living in some very nice, brand new apartments but it is small (798 sq. feet 2 bdrm/2 bth)! We talked to a mortgage company and a realtor and found THE perfect house all in a week! Everything has been such a blessing so far and has fallen into place just perfectly. We found this house in a brand new subdivision, only five minutes from where we were, and the house was brand spankin' new!! We are so excited to have found a brand new house, that we could comfortably afford! We closed on the house on December 30th and have been moving slowly but surely... we still have our apartment until February 10th. Our house is finally our HOME and it is so nice! We have four bedrooms and 2300 sq. feet now, so we have much more space and room for all of our things! :)

Brayden is offically walking EVERYWHERE and at lightning speeds! :) It is so funny to watch him walk all over the place. Sometimes he gets going so fast across the room after something that he will fall down but he gets right back up! So far we haven't had a problem with him trying to climb the stairs.. which is AWESOME-- but, I have four different kinds of baby gates ready for when he figures it out!
