Picasa 3

The photographer that we used for our wedding was kind enough to let me in on a little secret. I love to edit photos as far as making them black and white, adding text, etc. I wanted to get Photoshop but she told me I could download Picasa 3 and do everything I wanted. So, I've been playing around with that lately and here are some of the pics that I've done so far. Also, I can edit the videos that I take of Brayden (Julia also told me about that!!). I haven't tried to use the video editor yet... I'm still playing around with the pictures!

It's Snowing!

It started to snow yesterday but it never piled up on the ground. When we woke up this morning it was finally piled up everywhere and was still coming down. It snowed all this morning and started again around 3 this afternoon or so but only lightly. It was beautiful (and COLD)!! I hope that it snows more this week. It is supposed to Wednesday and Friday but you never know! Jeremy is glad we saw it but ready to get home now because he hates staying inside all day long. Lucky for him he goes back to work tomorrow after four days off and won't have to worry about sitting at home all day long..... which Brayden and I have no problem with! :)

This was out at the golf course...

We literally had to run around to keep Brayden from crying. Brayden was laughing at all the noises and jumping around Jeremy was having to do to keep his attention! :)
We had to give him his balloon when we got in the car to get him to stop crying, poor baby! He was tired, cold, and ummmm, spoiled! :)

Santa -- Take 2

Better! This was the only way that he'd get near Santa! Jeremy first put him right on Santa's lap and he cried so hard he stopped breathing for a minute.. Ahhh, kids!

Lights in Downtown Kansas City

We went downtown to Kansas City, Missouri and saw the Christmas lights. They were awesome and every building was glowing! I was obsessed with these gorgeous carriages they had there! They reminded me so much of something out of Cinderella! It was hard to get a bunch of pictures of just the lights themselves so most of my pictures ended up being of the carriages! :)

Random Pics

After he had to be stripped down...
Too good! He will hate me for these pictures when he's older!
Riding the motorcycle rocker at the Harley store.

Visitor..

We had a visitor this weekend straight from the North Pole! This cute little reindeer invaded our space! :) There is a good look at his "Santa is my homeboy" t-shirt PRE-throw up!

Santa

We took Brayden to Bass Pro Shop to see "Santa's Workshop" .. right after he fell asleep! Before we got there he had thrown up on his "Santa is my homeboy" t-shirt and we had to go home and change him! What a bummer! They had everything decorated so beautifully inside and out and it make it feel even more like the holidays! (Especially that 40 degree weather!!)
Um, YEAH.

Maybe Santa really isn't his homeboy? What do ya' think?!

Thanksgiving 2008

This year for Thanksgiving was a little bit different since we are in Kansas and not home with both of our families but my dad and stepmother flew out here to spend it with us! Jeremy and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner and it was pretty amazing! Jeremy was in charge of the turkey and stuffing and I made yams, greenbean cassarole, and broccoli rice and cheese cassarole... As I said earlier, Brayden wasn't feeling 100%. He acted just a little grouchy and had a hard time keeping anything down his tummy when he got choked up... We still had a great time and got some cute pictures of Brayden on his second Thanksgiving!

Brayden and his grandpa.. We had to give him Pedialyte and he was not liking that it wasn't milk. It took him a little while to get to sleep.

Big booty!
While we were looking at the Christmas lights in downtown KC Brayden had a little mishap. Well, more like a big, stinky, messy mishap! We had to pull over on the side of the road.. BEFORE..
... and AFTER...
Much better for everyone!
After grandpa and mimi left this morning Brayden slept on and off ALL day long! He even fell asleep here in his highchair eating some leftover stuffing with his daddy!

Peek-A-Boo!

It has been a few days since my last post but we've been busy. My dad and stepmom came to visit us in Kansas for Thanksgiving and Brayden hasn't been feeling 100%. He never really ran a fever but had a little trouble keeping things down in his tummy. It was only 35 here today and snowed on and off all day. Nothing has piled up yet but maybe tomorrow. It was snow and then sleet, more snow, etc. It is supposed to be the same kind of weather tomorrow, so I guess that means no golf for Jeremy! Just another day hanging around the house videotaping Brayden and watching movies! Ahhh, the life.

When I was cooking dinner I heard my boys playing and this is what I saw...

Isn't Brayden a little smartie?! He started doing this "peek-a-boo" thing all by himself! I knew letting him eat all those Smarties at Halloween would somehow pay off in the end! :)

Brayden is trying so hard to walk lately! We got some pretty good video tonight of him trying to walk and taking a few steps! I have about four different videos that have good pieces of him walking in each but I can't edit them and just show the good parts.. dang it! I am going to get Photoshop and figure out how to do all of that kind of stuff soon.

Bolt

Today we took Brayden to see the movie Bolt. He loved it! He watched the whole thing without fussing again.. he just wants to stand up in the chair and bounce around while he watches. He also loved the popcorn and his bottle a little too much during the movie this time and ended up throwing it all up all over himself and his dad during the middle of the movie! We had a mess and it was pitch black in there! Needless to say, the movie was good and we made it through but we may not let him eat all the popcorn he'd like to the next time!

Please Keep....

My sister-in-law, Christy, in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow. She is having surgery to fix her broken nose following a car accident last Thursday. They are going to have to break it in three different places tomorrow to fix it but she will be under and she is looking forward to that! She was finally feeling a bit better today and will have to start all over tomorrow after surgery. Please think about her tomorrow!

For Wela

Today was Jeremy's Grandma's (would be) 80th Birthday! She passed away a couple of months ago on May 29th, 2008. I decided yesterday that I would go get some balloons for her and take Brayden to the park to let them go and take pictures. I want to have something tangible for Brayden to hold and see when we talk about her as he gets older. Of course, I was worried about the weather... When we went out today it was gorgeous, clear skies for miles and miles ( and freeeeeeezing cold!!) :). So after lunch, we went and picked out a colorful "Happy Birthday" balloon and some pearl pink and pearl purple balloons. I didn't make those colors up, that's what they were called at the store. :) Anyway, we went to the park and no one else was there. It was perfect so I tied to balloons to Brayden's little wrist (brutal, I know!) and let him play with them for a bit while I took some pictures of it. I sat on the bench next to him and had him "give Wela a kiss" on the balloon and I hated to let them go. I felt so silly being so upset but letting the balloons go felt like we were letting her go all over again. It was hard. I almost wished that Brayden would have accidentially let them go so that I wouldn't have to do it. I would have just brought the balloons home with us had it not ruined the whole idea that I had! :) I miss her a lot but even worse when I think about the sweet sweet lady (that loved Brayden SO much) that he will not remember. She held him and loved him and even watched him by herself for me in February when I had to get my hair re-done when my hair lady accidentially turned it black-- (that's another whole story!). She was so kind. Anyway, here are some pictures from our day..
