On Thursday I took Brayden to the zoo in Missouri. It was kind of chilly out so they only charged $5 to get in! I love a good bargain! There wasn't many people there at all and this zoo is huge! Most of the paths are almost like in a forest area so it is kind of creepy to walk through it alone. Another mom with a baby boy came up to me and asked if we could walk together so they didn't have to go alone. So, we had company for our trip which was good because Brayden was about two cries from HORRIBLE! He was tired, I guess, so he was very cranky and didn't want to sit in his stroller. It didn't help that the other little boy was a little bit older so he was already walking and running outside his stroller. Brayden and I spent three hours walking around there and we only saw half of the zoo! They have it in two main parts.. Africa and Australia. We never even got to see Australia because Africa was so big it took us the entire time to see most of it. I do have to say this zoo totally beats the one in San Antonio. The zoo in SA is nice but here the animals have a huge area (at least as big as a football field) to roam around in! It was so good to see the animals have such a large area to live in instead of just a small area that they have to share with other animals! We were able to get about six or eight feet from a giraffe! It was so cool! A zookeeper was talking to the giraffe and trying to get him to walk up there.. I have pictures and video but in the video you can hear Brayden fussing in the background almost the whole time! We eventually had to leave before we got locked in.... All in all it was a pretty good day! Next time I'm leaving the kid at home! :)
I put Brayden on the little safari ride....
He was driving just fine but trying to figure out what the heck was sitting next to him?!
Yeah, I told you...
Yeah, I told you...
The lady we were with held him up so I could try and get his picture.. he was fighting her about sitting down on the wood.. at least he smiled!
The biggest turtle ever!
I have a video of Brayden cracking up at these little animals ( just don't know how to load it on here!) .. anytime we would walk to the animals next to them they would all run up to the glass and start scratching! It was like they knew we were there to visit them!
Lions in the background...
Throwing a FIT!

I love that pic of the giraffe with his feet spread wide apart! So cute! Brayden sure is cute too! :) You are a wonderful mom, already exposing him to so many neat experiences!
